    Independence day, or July 4th, has been celebrated for over 261 years. 4th of July celebrations are never complete without a great firework show. Here are the top places to watch Fireworks 4th of July:

    San Francisco

    For the classic crowded touristy vibe, park yourself in Aquatic Park, Pier 39, or Ghirardelli Square for viewing the 9:30pm show. Oh, and Tainted Love will perform their Best of the 80’s Live! Pier 39.

    Angel Island and Treasure Island

    If you feel brave enough to battle the bridge traffic, the panoramic views of the fireworks from Treasure Island are worth it. There is a spectacular view at Ayala Cove on Angel Island. There are packages offered to make your experience even more memorable at only $73 dollars. This includes live music, food and drinks and the ferry service. (Event is from 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm)

     

    Lincoln Park

    For a superb views of downtown San Francisco head to this 100-acre park in the northwestern. Hikers are able to pick a great view alongside California Coastal Trail for the 4th of July Fireworks Show.

     

    East Bay

     

    Oakland Symphony

    The Oakland Symphony joins forces with the city of Richmond to provide a free event for the whole family with live music, food, and instrument petting zoo and a spectacular fireworks over the bay! The Pre-show starts at 6:30 pm at Craneway Pavilion.

    Concord

    This fourth annual festival includes a 5k run 8 am, parade 10 am, carnival 4 pm, and fireworks at 9pm. Located at Diablo High School, 2450 Grant st. Contact for pricing for the 4th of July Fireworks Show

     

    South Bay

     

    Mountain View

    The San Francisco Symphony will host its annual Fourth of July Spectacular at Shoreline Amphitheatre with no fewer than three Star Wars themes as well as a Summer of Love–themed program. It starts at 8:00 pm at Shoreline Amphitheatre located at, One Amphitheatre Parkway (Mountain View). Contact for ticket pricing for the 4th of July Fireworks Show.

    San Jose

    This year’s Rose, White and Blue Parade is all about bicycles. After the parade, enjoy an old-fashioned picnic with live music and dancing, arts and crafts booths, food and beer, an antique and classic car show at the Festival after the Parade, or ride off on a SJ Bike Party ride! Wind your way along The Alameda, have a picnic and enjoy live music, an antique car-show, and more. Fireworks boom at 9:30pm.
